The Beast Price Ever: 666 Personally Signed Copies for £6.66

Some numbers refuse to leave you alone. Mine happens to come with three sixes, several loud guitars and more stories than are probably safe to repeat in polite company.

So here it is: I am releasing 666 personally signed paperback copies of Loopyworld: The Iron Maiden Years for just £6.66 each, plus shipping.

Not £18. Not £16.66. Exactly £6.66.

Once those 666 promotional copies are gone, the Beast Price disappears with them.

Before the albums, arenas and mythology

Long before Iron Maiden became one of the biggest heavy metal bands in the world, there were rehearsal rooms, East London pubs, unreliable vans, borrowed equipment and a group of young men trying to make something happen.

I was there.

From 1978 to 1984, I worked with Iron Maiden well before the original Killer Krew. I carried equipment, travelled with the band, stood inside the rehearsal rooms and watched the journey develop from the pubs towards the international stage.

That meant long days, longer nights, arguments, laughter, disasters, friendships, a great deal of beer and the sort of moments that rarely appear in official histories.

Loopyworld: The Iron Maiden Years tells that story from where I stood: behind the amplifiers, inside the vans and among the people who lived through it before anyone knew how enormous Iron Maiden would become. This is not an official Iron Maiden publication and it was never intended to be one.

You will find Paul Di’Anno, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, the musicians, road crew and characters who passed through that world. You will also find the mistakes, rows and ridiculous incidents that polished rock histories tend to leave safely outside.

The book does not pretend that memory is perfect. Neither was life with a heavy metal band. That is rather the point.

Why 666 copies?

Because if you are going to launch a ridiculous offer connected with heavy metal history, you may as well do it properly.

Each promotional copy is the complete English-language paperback edition, personally signed by me before it leaves Loopyworld. This is not a shortened edition, digital download or suspiciously thin pamphlet printed behind a pub. It is the full book, signed and posted directly to you.

The promotional price is £6.66 per copy, plus shipping, and worldwide delivery is available.

There are only 666 copies included in this offer. The website keeps count as they are sold, and when the final one has gone, the promotion ends.

No encore. No mysterious discovery of another 666 under the stairs.

Get yours before they are gone

If you remember the early Iron Maiden years, this book will take you back inside them.

If you discovered the band later, it will show you the world that existed before the records, stadiums and mythology took over.

And if you simply enjoy honest rock memoirs told by somebody who was actually there, £6.66 is probably the cheapest ticket you will ever find into that particular piece of heavy metal history.
