He didn’t interview the people who were there. He was one of them.
Before Di’Anno
Paul was still Paul Taylor — and Loopy was his best mate.
Cigarettes bought one at a time, guitars with missing strings and two East End teenagers who had no idea where the music would take them.
Before the icon
Eddie was plywood, 34 light bulbs, a pump — and a very bad idea.
Loopy remembers the crude first stage prop that spat fake blood before Eddie became one of rock’s most recognisable figures.
