What to say, the Iron Maiden have been my passion since 1987, when at age 14, a friend of mine made me discover them by lent me the ‘cassette’ of ‘The Number Of The Beast’. Today, on the contrary, a few moments ago, I finished reading the book. Amazing! He literally transported me and let me live a piece of history from the mythical eighties, with my favorite group. The story is really great, from the first to the last page! A must read for an Iron fun. “UP THE IRONS”

I have “seen” with my soul what Antonio has cleverly put on black and white: walking alongside Andrew, identifying myself in Luke's spasmodic search for truth, passionate him, as an old fan date, to everything that has revolved around the legend of the Maiden, of Eddie, with the latter tattooed on my left arm will accompany all my days. From Ligurian, and not only that, I thank Antonio (and all those who supported him, supported and inspired him) for a work that made me move and experience emotions. A tip for those who will pick up the text: while reading, bring headphones, insert the first three albums of the Iron Virgin into any device and turn up the volume... it will be like being at the inside something that you will always carry with you. Up The Iron!!!

Amazing book! Must have for any Metal fan!

I don’t like the thriller genre, this book was a gamble. But I definitely won it, and the author won too. The narrative flows smoothly, although the timeline and the interweaving of events is not linear. The episodes that make up the plot are masterfully intertwined, in order to create supence and interest in the reader. The story, far from obvious, revolves around the figure of the iron maiden. Although they are central, for the book, it is as if they are the background to the whole story, capable of ranging from strong moments to events of everyday life. The characters are well defined and you can know the depth. Detailed descriptions, it feels like seeing a movie and hearing heavy metal music. Really congratulations to the author, to whom I wink. I know well in the United Kingdom, indeed, very well. And he brought me back, thanks to some lexical choices and perfect representation.

The novel is structured to intertwine the characters’ stories, finalized to make them all meet, in a way or the other, at the Hammersmith Odeon’s venue. A very well-built temporal architecture, which flows very well under the readers’ eyes thanks to an efficient exposure. At the beginning it seems all obvious but it’s the interweaving itself which won’t make clear, until the end, who is the victim and who is the perpetrator.
The Author leads us to the beginning of the worldwide success of the band Iron Maiden, and this is so balanced and discreet, to get curious also the reader who is not a heavy metal fan. For the fans, the experience is so immersive to make them part of the scene and take the stage with their idols.

You don't have to be an Iron Maiden fan to read this book. And that's the genius. Compelling, well structured and always in time. Nice idea of the soundtrack with QR code, I recommend it to anyone who loves thrillers and high-voltage novels. London in the background, then, the icing on the cake. I'll wait for the next one Up The Iron!!!
